Anthuriums

The Anthurium plant, commonly known as the “flamingo flower” or “laceleaf,” thrives in Fiji’s lush, tropical environment. Renowned for its striking appearance, this evergreen perennial boasts glossy, heart-shaped leaves and vibrant, long-lasting blooms. In Fiji, its flowers often exhibit brilliant shades of red, pink, or white, adding a splash of color to gardens and indoor spaces alike.

Anthuriums in Fiji flourish in the island’s humid, tropical climate, preferring well-draining soil and partial to full shade. Their unique flowers, which are technically spathes (modified leaves) with a central spike known as a spadix, make them popular for both decorative and ornamental purposes. The plant’s ability to bloom year-round in Fiji’s warm temperatures makes it a beloved choice for adding a touch of exotic elegance to homes and landscapes.
